“Arthur” shoes and sunglasses with adaptive features are now available from Zappos. Online retail giant Zappos is teaming up with PBS KIDS to introduce a line of shoes and sunglasses designed to meet the needs of kids with disabilities.

The collection, which is part of the Zappos Adaptive offering, features products with characters from the popular children’s series “Arthur.”  The lineup launched in early April with more than a dozen styles.

“Arthur” high-top and low-top shoes from Billy Footwear all include wraparound zippers to make them easier to take on and off.

Meanwhile, shades from RoShamBo Eyewear have images of Arthur and his sister D.W. and are shatter-resistant, bendable and can accommodate prescription lenses, Zappos said. They are offered in toddler and junior sizes.

Zappos first entered the adaptive market in 2017 with a special section on its site highlighting products designed to make dressing easier for people with disabilities.  The following year, the company partnered with PBS KIDS to introduce a line of sensory-friendly apparel.https://www.disabilityscoop.com/2020/04/14/zappos-rolls-out-pbs-kids-collection-special-needs/28153/
